Antoine Rose is a self taught photographer that shoots the series called
Up in the Air. He has been working on this series since 2002 and has photographed all over the world from the beaches of Rio De Janeiro to Miami. He shoots these beach scenes from helicopters with out doors and being suctioned on to the sides of buildings just to get the perfect angle and view. quite the dare devil eh? I love the burst of color and even though there is a lot going on- they remind me of a large scale abstract painting the way your eye move from color to color.

these are amazing, i can definitely tell that his work inspired gray malin. and um shooting while being suctioned to a building?! count me out!!
These are fabulous!
I have a soft spot for the name Antoine --he's one of the characters in my book, and he's a goodie :) He's not a photographer, though haha. These photos are awesome. xo
I simply adore photo-projects like this one. How brilliant, stunning and brave. Have a fantastic start to the week, darling. xo
lovley!
Wooow, I love it!
i love these. there is just something so fascinating and timeless about beach photography. i also love the graphic element in these! xo ps - yes i saw 67!!! for wednesday!
Wow, these are just great! I love that they are solid blocks of color versus the usual smattering of rainbow primary colors that you usually see on the beach and I love his daredevil pursuit of the shot!
Hope your weekend was a good one!

wow! so crazy!! I was wondering how they got all those shots! I mean, does he rent the helicopter just for the photos? Oh my, my hands start sweating just thinking about him hanging out trying to snap the perfect pic! haha!
When I saw the first image at first glance I thought it WAS an abstract piece. What a great series!
These pictures are super amazing! I'm definitely going to look up some more of Antoine Rose's work.
Woah fantastic! I love that last one.
these are very neat photos. Especially the top 2!
it's artwork like this that makes me ooh and aww and wonder wonder wonder where such brilliant inspiration comes from? i could hang any of these in my house and be happy with both the appearance and the idea behind the work.
Very clever and brave. I do like the point of view as they are truly unique. Color on the beach is always amazing.
I haven't heard of him before, thanks for sharing, these are really inspiring!

How cool.
Very nice pictures!
Oh, I've seen this stuff before. I love it. And Christine from The Plumed Nest introduced me to another beachy photographer that I love, and I can never remember her name. Bad on me.
These are so dreamy, and detailed too. I love that juxtaposition.
Oh the colour of the water in the last one - gorgeous
I love these! Especially the second and last!
