It's no secret that I love oil painting, not only because I paint with them but because there is this beautiful luxurious quality about them. There is this ability to subtly capture a moment that lasts forever making it timeless. I would love to hang one of these paintings in my sitting room or maybe even a study..now i just need one of those fancy rooms.
Mary Sauer is a New York artist that has an impressionistic approach to oil painting with a great representation of color balance, proportion and value of relationships .. basically a very technical oil painter with a high level of technique which I admire completely and maybe even a little jealous of.

oooo, i have not heard of mary sauer before, but i love portrait oil paintings. these are gorgeous.
