I wanted to show you the amazing pictures of the monkey forest sitting in the middle of Ubud, Bali. The monkeys are protected by the government and they have free reign of this forest.
You can even buy bananas and little treats for the monkeys and feed them when you get inside and they pretty much only pay attention to you if you have a tasty treat. In fact at the entrance they say no plastic bags allowed because the monkeys will run up and grab the bag. Also ladies shouldn't reach into their handbags because the monkeys will think they are reaching for a treat and they will snatch the handbag.
I was also surprised at the amount of monkeys. They were everywhere!
Since this is a sacred place, there were a lot of temples around the area.
See that monkey snoozing in the picture?
I wanted to just take one home but I am not sure if my little pugs would like a monkey brother. They are pretty diva like :).

oh my goodness! so cute but majestic at the same time. I hear bali is supposed to be amazing. I met an Irish- Australian couple while I was in peru who were planning on getting married there... apparently it's just a short and inexpensive plane ride from australia.
Magical island!
Soak the culture while you are there & must watch the 'Kecak' dance performance!
Enjoy!
Wow! Monkeys everywhere! What an experience it must have been. Beautiful.
Those monkeys are soo cute. You know me, I would have stayed there with them the whole time.
Wow, it is so cool that you actually got to walk in those places!!! So amazing . . .
Bali looks so wonderful! jason makes fun of me b/c of my fascination with monkeys. they are just so peculiar that if my day includes a monkey in some way...i'll laugh...it's a good day!
