Then I started to wake up and thought that I was being completely ridiculous and realized there is probably a burglar in my house.
I sit up in bed and tell my husband to get downstairs immediately to make sure our dogs are safe. (They are our children after all.)
My husband tells me that the only reason why he is going is so that I will leave him alone. So he leaves and goes down stairs and hear a big WHACK!. So it's probably not a burglar it's an axe murderer.
So I run into my bathroom and I start thinking what could I use to disarm an axe murder. Maybe some hand lotion to blind him and I could whack him with the toilet bowl cleaner?
So I run downstairs and see my dogs grunting and fighting over a pair of socks left out from the laundry and my husband is rummaging through the fridge. :)
Winston looks a little like a gorilla doesn't he?

Hahahaha! This sounds like every night at our house. The difference? My boyfriend would never go downstairs but insist I'm losing my mind. :)
aw I love your little gorilla! so cute!
:) We have our very own "loud noise" routine. Aubrey gets up and I stay in bed. I am not allowed to move an inch because he doesn't want to whack me by mistake thinking I am the thief! So far, it has just been the random thing falling out of the cabinet or whatever...
Excellent story. I love the things our minds come up with when we're still half asleep.
So creepy to hear such noises! Your doggies are the cutest! By the way, hand lotion and toilet bowl cleaner could totally stop a burglar dead in their tracks...excellent job on being resourceful:)
Have a great Tuesday!
Heehe! He does kind of look like a gorilla! What a funny scenario!
too funny! it's funny how hard it is to place sounds when half asleep and your adrenaline is running high!
