I am painting as fast as I can. The projects are starting to pile up.. Quality versus quantity, right? The painting is in it's ugly phase.. an ugly painting doesn't get pretty until much later... I know... I know.. No excuses..
I am a little jealous about people who can make art quickly, and I am also jealous of people who make amazing art quickly. :) Since I have no paintings to show you, I will show you funny photos and a little bit of a inappropriate video. That's me practicing my karate moves.
My husband's little brother- being really funny. This could have been my face book profile picture but all ruined because of him!
We are supposed to get snow tonight- fingers crossed and then I can really get some work done because I will be snowed in. Productivity thoughts coming your way and hopefully my way.

Ach -- I know; it seems I'm always up against it these days. But I find that having a plan -- especially walking into your studio with a plan, like having the right reference material and a colour palette already in mind -- helps immensely, and lets you get right into it. Let us the see the results!
I love the pictures:) Very fun! Good luck with painting! I am super jealous because right now I can't find any time to paint right now...oh how I miss it so! Can't wait to see your paintings:)
Fun photos! You're so pretty! :)
adorable post!

Paintings DO tend to have an ugly stage, don't they? I experience this a lot. The trick is to not trash it during the ugly stage because, like the duckling (couldn't resist), they usually move past that into something quite nice.
Good luck with the painting!!
Cute photos :)

I don't want to be productive...I want to lay on my sofa and read. And drink tea. And snuggle my cat.

my family (on my mom's side) is a creative lot...i am always amazed at how they can make something out of nothing at a moments notice and the drop of a hat!
art at any speed is worth the effort and wait, though...
Haha ... loving your karate moves Erika! :)
I always find it interesting that other people find the same as me (though in my case it's writing) - creative projects often need to move through an 'ugly' phase before the beautiful can be revealed.
Sending lots of wonderful productivity and focussed thoughts your way! :)
